If you maintain a GUI/desktop distro and want to help out there are some fairly simple ways that would go along way to helping us out.

You have the option when you are packaging up browsers to include our root certificate, for example in mozilla based browsers, they come with an Add Builtin tool to include additional root certificates, and MSIE custom CD creator has options for including additional root certificates in the package.

Next if you have a login section to your website, use our certificates instead of self signing or buying expensive certificates, this will save you money to put towards more important things. This will protect YOUR users from having their passwords exposed over the wire (or wireless), this is an even greater concern these days with the proliferation of wifi and other RF based IP traffic that is easily intercepted.

Be proud of the fact that you like and support us, use one of our snappy looking logo buttons on your website announcing it for the whole world to see!

Finally by helping us to distribute our root certificate, in the long run this will help everyone to more accessable security for the masses. It will also have a side effect of forcing the bigger players to not only make their certificate costs more realistic, but improve their security practises to set themselves apart from the competition, because having existing browser inclusion no longer means you will have an on-going monopoly to fall back on as to why you can charge large sums of money or have poor security/vetting practises.
